Team Member – Contributor Day
I’m currently part of the WordCamp Philippines 2026 organizing team, with a focus on Contributor Day. It still feels funny calling myself an organizer because, honestly, I still feel like a Contributor Day person who just wants to help.
Contributor Day has always been special to me because it reminds people that contribution is not only about code. Writers, designers, translators, support folks, testers, photographers, organizers, and first-time contributors all have a place in WordPress.
Helping organize Contributor Day in the Philippines feels meaningful because it gives me a chance to support the local community and help more Filipino contributors take their first step into open source.
WordCamp Asia 2026
Co-Lead – Contributor Day
Volunteering at WordCamps has become one of my favorite ways to give back to the WordPress community. In 2026 I had the honor of joining WordCamp Asia as a volunteer and, for the first time, co-lead Contributor Day alongside some incredible folks. That made 2026 my second year pitching in at a flagship WordCamp and the first time I got to help shape the day’s sessions, mentor new contributors, and dive even deeper into the community spirit.

When I first applied to volunteer for WordCamp Asia 2025, I had no organizing experience, just curiosity and a deep admiration for the WordPress community. What began as a leap into the unknown became one of the most rewarding experiences of my journey.
